Cheeseburger Chaffle, Delightfully Delicious!

In addition to all the recipes from my cookbooks, I’ve also created a delightful selection of recipes for you that may not be cookbook-worthy but are still incredibly tasty and simple! Including this delightful dish.
Why is it called a chaffle?
A chaffle is a specific type of waffle, and its name originated in America. It’s a waffle that includes cheese, hence the combination of “cheese” and “waffle” to form “chaffle.”

Do you want to guiltlessly and effortlessly enjoy a cheeseburger but without the need to make keto-friendly buns? Then, this chaffle is a real lifesaver!

For the chaffle:

  • 3 eggs
  • 50 grams of grated cheese of your choice
  • Pepper and salt (to taste)
  • A pinch of:
    – Onion powder
    – Garlic powder

For the filling:


Heat a waffle iron while mixing all the chaffle ingredients together thoroughly. If you have a waffle iron that makes 2 waffles at a time, you can cook the chaffles all at once. If you have a single waffle iron, divide the batter into 2 portions.
Note: Most waffle irons do not need to be greased, but if your iron tends to stick, it’s better to lightly grease it beforehand.

Cook the chaffles until they are golden brown and cooked through.

Remove the chaffles from the iron and place the hamburger meat on one of the waffle squares. Cook the hamburger meat until done in the (closed) iron. The advantage of cooking the hamburger in the waffle iron is that it ends up being the same size as the chaffle, and it also saves you dishes. Ideal!

While the hamburger is cooking, cut the ingredients for the filling and mix the mayonnaise, ketchup, and mustard together.

Top one of the chaffles with the hamburger, the rest of the filling, and the sauce, and place the other chaffle on top. Enjoy!
